7 The Sarangani Adventure

Two weeks ago, after the SOCCSKSARGEN BLOGFEST, the bloggers were invited and was given a chance to tour the Sarangani Province. The NEYEM Sarangani Adventure is definitely one of the best tours that I encountered for this year if I compared to our Educational Tour in Cebu. Why? Simply because nature versus large infrastructure and fresh airs versus pollution is quiet different.

Anyway, early in the morning, we left GenSan to Maitum (127 km. /2 and a half hours) for our breakfast. One of the sponsor (Cresing's Food Products) prepared a lot of foods. What I like most is the delicious half-dried fish or marinated bangsi which I thought is Dangit. Special thanks to Cresing’s Food Products.

The DTI Sarangani promotes their OTOP (One Town, One Product) to encourage people. Not just to help advertise their product but for others to start their own business. The project focuses on the livelihood purposes of the people in Sarangani and for the goodness of the provincial economy.

After breakfast, the best adventure bloggers experienced is the White Water Tubing at Pangi River’s 1.6 km. tube ride in Barangay New La Union, Maitum. I wasn’t able to experience the tubing but seeing the bloggers faces and laughs, I felt like I was there. And oh, Pangi River was awarded as second Runner-up in 2003’s Cleanest River. Isn't it nice?

The next stop is at Lemlunay Resort which will be the venue for our lunch. The staff serves the foods. The Pookey (Hawaiian kinilaw), Steamed Pompano (fish), Chicken Satay (chicken), and Chicken cacciatore. After lunch, we stroll around the resort. The place was great. With amazing Infinity Pool, Ocean view, Function hall, and Diving area. I can say that Lemlunay is one of the best resorts in Sarangani. We can’t get over so we took jump shots here and there.

With full of contentment, we went back to GenSan where Sir Avel, Arghie and Frances waited. We then headed to Balungis Women's Association in Balungis, Tuyan, Malapatan, Sarangani Province. They showed to us their traditional way of making cloth with the help of wooden machine and rayons. The group sells malong, shawl, scarf and other accessories.

From Malapatan, we then headed to a paradise of white sand beaches in Gumasa, Glan, Sarangani Province. We visited Davak Ridge Beach Resort, Yoshikawa Beach Resort and Pool, White Haven Beach Resort and Isla Jardin del Mar. These beaches are good for vacation, meetings, and other gatherings. If you'll going to visit one of these beaches, don't just enjoy the white sands. Try to catch a glimpse of the panoramic view of sunset. It's so cool. Promise.

After the beach experience, we had our dinner at Isla Meloussa. The place is nice, people are good and foods are delicious.

It was a good experience before 2010 ends. I can't tell if I'm coming back but one thing's for sure. I will recommend the wonders of Sarangani to my friends and encourage them to love our own nature here in Sarangani Province.

4 What girl wants to a guy?

Girls mind works in strange ways. Mood swings, choices, decisions. Those are the common concerns of guys. Not particularly all guys though. And yes, that's their drama :) Aside from the fact that girls has their own beauty, girls also has their own attitude. All of which, those attitudes really matters and has something to do with their own self.

Honestly, being a girl. I can say that we are different in many ways. Some are cheaters but others are nice. There are cool girls, there are weird. Usually, we say things which is actually opposite to what we really want. That's pretty much sure. We also don't know what we need that's why mood changes here and undecided decisions there. But guys, just bear with it. That could be more interesting if you will know when and why girls act like that. Behave. Observe. Learn.

Anyway, let me share it to you some ideas of what girls actually want to a guy..

Number 1. Sense of humor

→ If you're a guy with sense of humor, for sure you were surrounded with lots of girls. This is definitely one of the most important part of a guy that girls really admire. As a matter of fact, it's the first thing girls want to observe. Why? For having a guy with sense could help them grow.

Number 2. Honesty

→ This is another important factor what girls want. Honesty is a truthfulness of a person for others to trust them. Nowadays, girls envy every average girl with a sincere guy. Most of the girls wants a guy to be honest, in all the things they do and all of what they say should be true. Be sure to be honest all the time with the girl you look up to.

Number 3. Smart

→ A smart guy is a big turn on to most girls. They want a guy with lots of ideas, thoughts and knowledge. If you're smart enough to make her impress, then your halfway there. Do all the things you can do for her, and make her proud with your simple explanations.

Number 4. Confidence

→ Confidence shows a convincing power or being positive all through the way. Being confident helps you assess yourself to be who you are. If you have this confident, there's a great possibility that girls will like you. It's a thumbs up for you dude.

Number 5. Maturity

→ Being matured is amazingly attractive for girls. If you have noticed, most girls want those old guys. I mean a gap of 3-5 years. Why? for they know a guy older than them would help them learn. And they know you could be a man who do things in appropriate way and a man who knows the difference between right and wrong. If you do, you should be the guy. Go grab it.

Number 6. Compliments

→ This could help you catch the girl's attention. Appreciate every little thing girls did. Recognize their efforts. Remember them. Feel them you loved them. By doing that, they'll surely appreciates you plus you will receive a bonus points. Regardless of what that bonus is.

Number 7. Listen

→ It can be the most important thing you can do for girls. They want to have someone who will always there for them. Just listen to them, give your opinions. If you do, trust me, girls will rely on you, and the good thing? they'll start to believe and trust you.

Number 8. Patience

→ For girls, patience matters. One good example of this is when a guy courts a girl. If you are a guy, and you're willing to court someone, make sure you can wait. Love can wait. Don't rush. With your patience, you can win a girl over. Promise.

Number 9. Eye-contact

→ Girls usually look at your smile or your eyes. An eye-to-eye contact could mean a lot. When you try to look on the girl's eyes, for sure they will look at you even and will smile at you. Isn't it nice? That could go a long way. Try to do it.

Number 10. Sweet
→ Girls wants a guy to be sweet. Just like bringing them into places where everyone could see them or I can say just a crowded place. For them, giving a present such as flowers and chocolates without any reason is sweet. Girls loves surprises. It could also be a sweet way to impress girls. So? Be sweet.




Guys, focus on being yourself and you'll find a girl who is attracted to you. Don't rush things. You'll see her in the right time and in a right place. It's a matter of respect, courage and love. With all those factors, I know you can do it :D My cheer for you!

0 The ROCK ON MANILA, biggest rock concert ever!

This is a good start. This post will be telling about the exciting event in GenSan. The event that will surely make Generals proud. Well, talking about the exciting event, GenSan will be experiencing a big event this coming November 19, 2010 where not only 1 but 6 of the best bands in the country will going to rock the city. This six bands were Parokya ni Edgar, Kamikazee, Gloc-9, Sandwich, Franco Band and Carat Band. Plus some bands from Davao and from our beloved city, GenSan. The event dubbed as "Rock On Manila" made possible with the help of MANILA BEER and K101 FM LOVE RADIO. Special thanks to Mr. Avel Manansala of Gensan News Online Mag and Mr. Joel Malabon for sponsoring this blog contest.

The upcoming Rock On Manila live concert will be tomorrow Friday, October 19, 2010, 5pm at Gensan City's Oval Plaza. Oh, by the way.. Let me show you my favorite bands among the six. Actually, they're all good but what I like most is the "Parokya ni Edgar". Why? Because every time I hear their songs, I felt like hearing a noisy but a meaningful piece that has something to do with the natural emotions and compatibility of the songs to everyone. Most of their song are original rock novelty songs, some are famous and the band plays alternative rock, pop rock, and other varying styles of songs. It's cool right? And yes, unfortunately I only knew Chito Miranda,  Jeric Estaco, Vinci Montaner, Miko Yap and  Gab Chee-Kee. They're definitely cool. One reason why I love Parokya is that they inspire people by way of expressing the true Filipino being and by their own inspiring compositions.

Now, it's time for us to meet them. What are we waiting for? Let's go out and watch the Rock On Manila Live Concert. If lucky meets me, we'll see there! Ü

0 A new inspiration.

Lately, I've been busy. School. Family. Friends. Self. Well, being a student, a daughter, a friend and a well being, I can say that this is truly life. Life that is full of challenges,  happiness and experiences. For now, let's just say I'm good. Why? I met a new inspiration. Oh, yah. Earlier, I don't feel like doing things and I don't want to look on this screen. My personal blog which I used for years now is missing. I mean that blog is not active no more. Supposed to be, I'm about to create a new post. Unfortunately, the password I entered is error. I tried my best to recall but I ended up nothing. Darn.

After doing nothing, my bitter mind thinks. Suddenly, without any notice, I already created a new account. A new blog, new inspiration. Now, this blog will be replacing the old blog I used for about 2 years. I'll start it with a simple theme, simple environment but will be looking forward to develop soon. Hoping for more posts, more readers, and more more ideas to share.
